College Ministry

Led by Pastor Jeff Pate and his wife Michelle.  They have 3 boys, and their family have been active in our church over 10 years.  This ministry reaches out to college students and to those who have graduated and are starting are looking for their career.
Church Services:  We have an 8:30 Old School service in our older historic chapel building.  We have Sunday School at 10:00 am.  There is a class for you, but you are welcome to pick any of our classes.  Click HERE to go to our SS Page.  We also have a church service with a full band at 11:00 in our gym in the building in the back of the grounds.  You will find most of our college students at this service.

Spring Semester Events:

1/13:  A college/career Sunday School class will be offered in room 3 in the old Chapel building.  We will be taking a “Walk through the New Testament” this Spring of 2019.    The New Testament is a collection of twenty-seven books centered on the figure of Jesus of Nazareth. … The books of the New Testament are traditionally divided into three major categories: the Gospels, the Epistles, and the Book of Revelation.   They comprise one of history’s most abundant, diverse, complex, and fascinating texts.   Class begins on January 13.

2/1-2/3:  College/Career Ski Trip:  See Pastor Jeff Pate for more info or to sign up.

2/3:  College/Career Superbowl  Party in the gym at 6:30 pm:  Come on out to watch the Superbowl and have lots of fun, food and fellowship.

Spring Break Missions Trip:  We always try to have a missions trip over spring break, so come to Sunday School to find out what this year’s trip is.

Wednesday Nights:  Join us for dinner at 5:30 pm. Suggested student donation is $2.  No money?  No worries.  Eat for free.  Stay after for Bible Study/Prayer time in the Sanctuary at 6:30.

Celebrate Recovery meets on thursday nights at 5:45.  Dinner is in the Fellowship Hall.  The group meeting starts at 6:30 in the Sanctuary.  Click here to find out more.  Pastor Jeff Pate is also the leader of CR.  Feel free to ask him any questions.

Life Groups connect you with other individuals and families in our church.  They are a great way to get to know the body of the church.  Let Pastor Jeff know if you are interested.

Volunteering is a great way to serve while you are in college.  Sometimes you can even earn credits for a class.  If you desire to work with our children’s ministry, please get a packet at the children’s check in table at the 11 service.  Everyone has to have a background check.  Below are ways to get involved with ministry here at WBC.  Talk with pastor Jeff to see where you fit in.
